The Alert Judge
There is in our mind, an Alert Judge that is immediately aware of anything you do wrong. The Judge pays no attention to what you do right.
The second you do anything that you should not, The Judge weakens your inner (core) moral fiber, and you begin to tilt towards chilling and numbing, depressive darkness-fading and falling away from warming, encouraging light. These "literary" words simply point out what we all know: if you do something wrong, you and The Judge are both immediately aware.
This very first thing you do wrong so weakens you that you slip and start to fall willy-nilly into doing wrong more easily, making it more difficult to do what you know you should, and what is right. You become the dispirited public caught in its own depression/recession from no more than the honest recognition of your own weakness-disability-disease generating behaviors.
Do not give The Judge the opportunity to weaken you, for it is by this that each of us weakens ourselves.
