Jane had a first glimpse of macrobiotics in the late 1970’s watching a TV talk show with guest speaker, Dr. Anthony Sattilaro, President of Philadelphia Methodist Hospital. He was giving his story on his own terminal cancer and how he beat his death sentence using something called “macrobiotics.” Her real journey began in 1983 when she attended a Macrobiotic Open House in Middletown, CT. It was in that small center with the help of many teachers, lectures and cooking classes that her path to understanding and experiencing a whole different concept began and forever changed her life.
